- 5 - RFID cards with 1KB on-board EEPROM
- 1 - 1x8 straight male header
- 1 - 1x8 90 degree angled male header
Specifications:
- RFID, or Radio Frequency Identification, is a system for transferring data over short distances
- Often only one of the two devices needs to be powered, while the other is a passive device, as no power source is required for radio data transmission
- Ideal for use in such things as credit cards, key fobs, and pet collars, because there is no need for battery power
- Can read at distances of 5cm (1.97in) for cards, 3cm (1.2in) for fobs
- The size and tuning of the antenna and the power supply voltage have a significant impact on the achievable operating distance, therefore two of the same RFID card/fob may not have exactly similar read/write ranges due to slight differences in their internal antenna windings
- Orientation of a tag (card/fob) in relation to the RC522 module's antenna as well as nearby metal objects/wires can also have a significant impact on operating distances
- Operating Frequency: 13.56MHz
- Security: each card has a unique ID number to prevent counterfeit and each transmission passes through 3 sets of 28-bit encryption, alleviating possibility of interception
- Transmission speed: 106KB/sec
- Working current :13-26mA/DC 3.3V
- Idle current :10-13mA/DC 3.3V
