I2C backpack for LCDs

This I2C backpack module can be mounted on the back side of an LCD to enable I2C control which will only require only 4 wires, 5V, GND, SDA, and SCL. The I2C address of the module can be changed, see Solder Jumper Configurable I2C Addresses link below under Resources.

Specifications

• I2C Backpack 8-bit I/O Expander IC:
  
  • PCF8574A (PCF8574AT) Default I2C Address: 0x3F
    
  • PCF8574 (PCF8574T) Default I2C Address: 0x27
    
• Eight different I2C address options configured with solder jumpers:
